Carcassonne Torture Museum

 
 


The medieval castle of Carcassonne, housed the famous bastille of the inquisition in southern France. Being the center of persecution of the Albigenses and Waldenses, the castle now houses the largest collection of torture implements of Europe in its museum. At the present time it is closed to the public.
